AI for small and medium businesses, done carefully

AI that fits how your business actually works.

Most AI projects fail because they focus on automating only the documented process, not the real one. We find the real process first, then help you use AI safely and only where it pays off.

The manual never tells the whole story. We map the exceptions, workarounds and judgement calls before anything is automated.

Where to start

Two ways in, depending on what you need

Set the rules for how your team uses AI

Apex AI Charter

Your staff are probably already using AI. In two weeks we make it approved, documented and defensible: a clear AI policy rolled out to your team, and written to your regulator's guidance if you have one.

About the Charter
Put AI to work, one task at a time

Apex AI Concierge

Two working sessions a month. We pick one bottleneck at a time and turn it into an AI workflow your team owns and understands. Done with you, not to you.

About the Concierge

Want a roadmap before you commit? The Apex AI Diagnostic finds where AI pays off in your business. Or start free: see how customers find you with a free visibility report.

How we work

Audit, optimise, then automate

STEP 01

Find the real process

We talk to the people who do the work and see how it actually happens: the exceptions, the workarounds, the judgement calls the manual leaves out.

STEP 02

Fix it before automating it

Steps that no longer make sense are cut first. Automating a broken process only makes it fail faster.

STEP 03

Automate what pays off

Then we build, one workflow at a time, with you in control and owning everything we make.

What we won't do

Five promises, before you sign anything

AI is full of over-promising. These are the lines we don't cross.

  • No AI running unchecked. Everything we deliver is checked by a person, and what we build keeps a person approving anything that goes to your customers.
  • No legal advice. Anything that needs legal wording is flagged for your lawyer.
  • No scraped lists and no automated LinkedIn messaging, for us or for you.
  • No AI voice agents answering your customers until you trust how they work.
  • No lock-in. You own every policy, workflow and document we build.
Who you'll work with

More about Apex →

I'm Evan, the founder of Apex Digital Minds. I've spent about 20 years running projects and governance in large, regulated, process-driven environments, leading technical changes that simplify how work gets done and take the burden off the people doing it.

I start by understanding what's actually causing you pain, bring the people affected into the solution, and sweat the detail. I also build and run AI systems myself, including the one behind the free visibility report on this site.

Questions

Common questions

Is this legal advice?

No. Apex provides governance and operations support. Where wording needs legal review, such as client disclosures, it's flagged for your lawyer.

Do I need to be technical?

No. We work in plain English, with the AI tools you already have or can easily get.

Do you work outside Perth, or outside Australia?

Yes. Apex is based in Perth and works online, so clients can be anywhere in Australia or overseas. Sessions are booked at times that suit both time zones, and prices are in Australian dollars. The Charter is written to Australian regulators' guidance; outside Australia, we'll tell you on the intro call whether it fits your local rules.

What does it cost?

Each offer has its price on its own page: the Charter, the Concierge and the Diagnostic. Founding clients get a lower price in return for honest feedback.

When can we start?

We're booking founding clients now, for work starting in early 2027. A 15-minute intro call is the first step.

What happens to our information?

We use it only for the work you ask for, and we tell you which tools it passes through. See the privacy policy.
